Article 1 [Purpose)

The purpose of this standard is to regulate the type approval and testing technical standards of gas leakage detectors pursuant to Article 50, paragraph 3, of the Fire Service Act and Article 36 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act.

Article 2 (Definition of Terms)

The definitions of terms used in this standard are as follows.

  1. The term "detector system" means a detector system for detectors, such as automatic fire detection systems, batteries for emergency detector systems, fire detector systems, short circuit detectors, gas leak detectors, and etc.
  2. Gas detector" refers to the detection of leaking of combustible gas or incomplete combustion gas and alerting them to concerned person or user. However, detecting gas leaks by methods other than detection facilities, and to issuing detectors by means of portable geared or interlocking devices made for inspection are excluded
  3. "Explosion-proof type" means a product which is designed so that when the explosive gas explodes inside the container, the container will not withstand the pressure or be exposed to external explosive gas.
  4. "Waterproof type" means that the structure is waterproof.
  5. "Detecting part" means a part detecting a gas leak in a gas leakage detector (hereinafter referred to as "detector") and transmitting a signal of gas leakage to the relay or receiving part, or detecting a gas leak, And transmits a signal of gas leakage to the repeater or receiver.
  6. "Receiving unit" means receiving the gas leakage signal from the detecting unit of the detectoring unit directly or through the repeater and alerting it to the person concerned as sound.
  7. The term "ground-detector" refers to a part of a signal that is received from a receiver of a detector and which is used in an attachment to the detector.
  8. "Attachment" means a device attached to a detector to supply an operating signal source to the ventilator or earth detector used in connection with the detector.
  9. "Detachable type" means a detector type in which the detection part and the receiving part are separated.
  10. The term "stand-alone type" means a detector in which the detection unit and the reception unit are integrated into one box.
  11. "Repeater" shall mean a signal by the operation of a detector or transmitter (except the M-type transmitter) or a gas leakage signal emitted by the detector and transmitting it to the receiver (except the M-type receiver) or receiver Fire-extinguishing facility smoke-free facilities, and facilities that transmit control or leakage signals or amplify signals to similar disaster prevention facilities.
Article 3 (Classification of Detectors)

Detectors are classified into stand-alone type and separated type according to the structure. Separate type is classified into business type and industrial type depending on the application. In this case, the business purpose is for one circuit and the industrial purpose is for more than one circuit.

Article 4 (General Structure)

The general structure of detectors shall comply with the following subparagraphs.

  1. The enclosure of receiver of the detector and detachable detector shall be made of nonflammable or flame retardant material and shall be 1.0 mm or more in thickness when using steel plates. When synthetic resin is used, the thickness shall be at least 2.5 times the thickness of the steel plate (1.5 times for single or split type business).
  2. In case of using synthetic resin for receiving part of detector and detachable detector housing (excluding earth window, map plate, storage lid, switch handle, light emitting diode, indicating electric meter and indication name plate), they shall be self-extinguishing.
  3. Anything attached to a building, etc., shall be of a structure that can be easily fixed by screws, nails, etc., without using adhesive tape or the like.
  4. There shall be an indicator light to easily check the status of the power supply.
  5. Detection parts of stand-alone type and detachable type shall be such that the parts installed in places where gas can stay shall not generate sparks under normal conditions, and the detection part for separation type heavy industrial shall be constructed by the following explosion-proof regulations Shall be appropriate.
    1. A. Korea Industrial Standard
    2. B. Standards specified by gas related laws and regulations (High Pressure Gas Safety Management Act, Safety and Business Management Act of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, Urban Gas Business Act)
    3. C. Specified by the Industrial Safety and Health Act
  6. It shall not be combined with other functions other than detector detection and detection of gas leakage. However, the signal terminal for operating the control unit, the power connector for the ventilator, GP complex type, GR type, and GR complex type are used for emergency shut off of liquefied petroleum gas and city gas (including liquefied natural gas) are of an exception.
  7. Power switch or detector concentration adjuster shall not be exposed.
  8. Constant voltage circuit or constant current circuit shall be installed in order to make the voltage of power source constant, and measures shall be taken so that it is not influenced by temperature.
  9. Operation is guaranteed, and handling, maintenance, inspection and replacement of accessories shall be easy and durable and shall not generate significant noise or disturbance.
  10. It shall not be affected by the function by dust, moisture, insects, etc.
  11. Parts that are likely to be affected by mechanical or electrical functions due to corrosion shall be corrosion-resistant or rust-proofed by means of chalk plating, etc. Terminals, screws and washers with an influence on electrical function shall be treated with copper alloy materials with equivalent or better corrosion resistance shall be used.
  12. The wiring in the equipment shall be of sufficient current capacity and the connections of the wiring shall be correct and reliable.
  13. In case of polarity, necessary measures shall be taken to prevent erroneous connection.
  14. The attachment of the parts shall not cause malfunctions and shall not be easily released.
  15. Where there is insufficient contact between the current-carrying part and the moving shaft part, necessary measures are to be taken to prevent contact failure of the contact part.
  16. Lighters that may easily come into contact with the outside shall be adequately protected.
  17. Grounding terminals are to be provided on the quick-release enclosure of appliances whose rated voltage exceeds 60 volts.
  18. A spare power source can be installed in the detector system.
    1. A. The spare power supply shall not be used as the main power source of the detector.
    2. B. A fuse shall be provided to protect the backup power supply against short-circuit faults.
    3. C. When the main power is stopped, it automatically switches to the standby power, and when the main power returns to the normal state, it shall be automatically switched from the standby power to the main power.
    4. D. A device shall be provided on the front to monitor the status of the backup power source.
    5. E. Automatic overcharging prevention device by automatic charging device and electrical device is to be installed. However, in the case of installing a battery which does not cause any abnormality in performance or structure even when the battery is overcharged, the automatic and anti-charging device may not be installed.
    6. F. When the batteries are connected in parallel, measures such as reverse charging prevention shall be taken.
    7. G. When the batteries are used in series or in parallel, batteries with uniform capacity (voltage, current, etc.) should be used.
    8. H. The spare power supply shall be a cylindrical sealed nickel-cadmium storage battery or an unshielded sealed lead-acid battery whose capacity shall be valid for 20 minutes after being monitored for 1 line (including stand-alone type). For detectors with two or more circuits, all connected circuits shall be monitored for 10 minutes. At the same time, they shall be capable of operating two lines effectively and issuing an detector for 10 minutes.
  19. (Deleted September 25, 1995)
  20. Protective measures are to be taken by means of heat sinks, radiators or the like to prevent malfunctions due to heat dissipated from internal parts.
Article 5 (Structure of Separate Receiver)

The structure of the separate type receiver should comply with the following requirements. However, the provisions of No. 1, No. 5, No. 6, and No. 8 may not apply to business use.

  1. A power switch that can open and close both poles of the main power supply at the same time is to be installed inside.
  2. Protective devices such as fuses and breakers shall be installed on the 1 line of the main line of the main power supply (1ts or more for business use) and the spare line power supply circuit.

  5. A voltmeter can be installed on the front to monitor the voltage of the main circuit. The power switching relay and the return switch shall be installed on the load side.
  6. Switches shall be used to stop the operation of the return switch or to stop the sounding of the acoustics, and shall be used only for that purpose. However, it is not the case that it is disposable.
  7. When a switch that does not automatically return to the correct position is sought, a sound signal device or flashing caution shall be installed.
  8. Apparatus, gas leakage indication operation test apparatus and conduction test apparatus shall be installed on the front surface to monitor the gas concentration of the detection unit.
    However, if the number of circuits that can be connected is 1, and the sounder can detect the stop of the power supply of the probe, a continuity testing device may not be installed.
Article 6 (Function of Separate Receiver)

The function of the separate type receiver shall be as follows. However, for business purposes, the provisions of No.1, No.2 and No.4 may not apply.

  1. When gas leakage signal is received from another line during operation of the test equipment for the gas leakage indication operation, gas leakage indication shall be possible.
  2. If gas leakage signal is simultaneously received on 2 lines, gas leakage indication shall be possible.
  3. If a leakage signal is received from another circuit during operation of the continuity test equipment, it shall be possible to indicate the gas leakage.
    However, this shall not apply to the case where the number of lines that can be connected is 1 and the sound source can detect the stop of the power source of the detection unit.
  4. Sounders and fault indicators shall be activated automatically when receiving signals which are emitted in the following cases:
    1. A. When a fuse, breaker, or other protective device of a circuit for supplying power to an external load operates in a repeater that receives power from a detector, a receiver, or another repeater
    2. B. When a power source of a repeater in which power is not supplied by a detecting unit, a receiving unit, or another repeater is stopped, and a protecting device such as a fuse or a breaker of a circuit for supplying power to an external load is operated by the relay
  5. The time from receipt start to gas leak indication shall be within 60 seconds.
  6. (Deleted 1997.12.11)
  7. When receiving a signal according to Article 3, subparagraphs 14 and 15 of the Technical Standard in terms of the type approval and test of repeater, there shall be a malfunction signal indicator automatically indicated by a sound signal or indicator.
Article 6-2 (Structure and Function of Inhalation Detection Section)

1) The structure of the inhalation probe shall comply with the followings.

  1. The device for indicating the amount of suction shall be a structure capable of reading the amount of suction per unit time.
  2. Suction pump shall have sufficient performance and should operate without abnormality
  3. The air flow meter shall be easy to see and the indication of the gas suction amount should be able to indicate the suction amount per minute.
  4. The filtration device attached to the air flow meter shall be installed in the front of the air flowmeter to prevent suction of dust, etc., and shall be easy to replace.
  5. Gas suction and exhaust pipes shall be made of copper tubing with an inner diameter of 4 to 6 millimeters and securely connected by screws.
    In this case, the material of the copper pipe shall be suitable for KS D 5301 (seamless copper and copper alloy pipe) or having equivalent strength or corrosion resistance.
  6. Protect the inlet of the pipe that sucks gas with a strainer (bronze sintered metal, etc.).
  7. Inhalation type shall be equipped with a test valve to test the amount of inhalation.
  8. The piping on the input side and the output side of the detection part shall have a structure that can prevent the external gas from igniting due to the flame in the piping.
  9. The pump body and the diaphragm are separated from the pump body and the diaphragm by fastening the pump body and the diaphragm with a steel band such as stainless steel or bolts tightly.

2) The function of the inhalation catheter shall be as follows.

  1. The inhalation test shall be stabilized for 30 minutes under the conditions specified in Article 10 and then to be more than 1.5 liters per minute when measured at the exhaust vent.
  2. Inhalation sensor shall have no abnormality in airtightness from the front end of suction pipe to the end of exhaust pipe.
  3. Rubber materials shall conform to or exceed the following criteria when tested according to KS M 6518 (Vulcanized rubber physical test method).
    1. A. Tensile strength shall be greater than 150 gravity kilograms per square centimeter and shall not exceed 20 percent after 96 hours in air at 70 + 2 degrees Celsius.
    2. B. The elongation shall be greater than 400 percent, and the degradation rate shall not be more than 20 percent after 96 hours in air at 70 + -2 degrees Celsius.
    3. C. The hardness shall be less than 70 degrees and the hardness change after leaving for 24 hours at a temperature of minus 20 + -2 degrees shall be in the range of + -10.
    4. D. Rubber Compression Permanent Rowing Rate shall be 50% or less after compression for 70 hours in air at 100 + -1 degrees Celsius
  4. Diaphragm for suction type detector shall have no abnormality in corrosion resistance and gas corrosion resistance.
Article 7 (Test Apparatus)

Apparatus for testing functions according to the provisions of Article 6 shall comply with the following subparagraphs

  1. The front of the receiver shall be easy to test.
  2. The continuity test of external wiring and the measurement of circuit resistance etc. shall be possible for each circuit by suitable method such as the indication electric meter.
  3. Except for tests of leakage lights and main acoustics, it shall be possible to test other circuits during a short circuit or disconnection of the circuit.
  4. The spare power supply shall be equipped with a device capable of conducting the ammunition test of the spare power supply. In this case, the amperage test shall be capable of measuring the terminal voltage when an automatic return type switch is installed on the DC side of the rectifier and the actual load current that is switched to the standby power by the operation of the switch flows.
Article 8 (Structure and Function of Parts)

The parts of the detector shall be suitable for the structure and function of the following items or to be equivalent or superior in performance.

  1. Switch
    1. A. The operation shall be easy to proceed, the operation shall be reliable, and the stopping point shall be clear and appropriate to identify.
    2. B. When the operation of flowing the current of 200% of the maximum used current through the resistive load is repeated 10,000 times (5,000 times in the case of the power switch) with the maximum use pressure of each contact point, the structure or function shall not be influenced by them.
    3. C. The contacts shall be suitable for the maximum current carrying capacity and shall not be corrosive.
    4. D. When using a switch (such as a mercury switch) that is laid down and disconnected, a suitable device shall be provided to remind the user to remember to return to the correct position.
  2. Lights
    1. A. The bulb shall not cause disconnection, significant change of luminous flux, blackening, decrease of current, etc., when AC voltage of 130 sheets of working voltage is continuously applied for 20 hours.
    2. B. The socket shall be securely contacted and shall be so attached that it can be easily replaced.
    3. C. Two or more bulbs shall be connected in parallel. However, this shall not apply in the case of a discharge lamp or a light emitting diode.
    4. D. The bulb shall be fitted with a suitable protective cover. However, this does not apply to light emitting diodes.
    5. E. Indicators indicating the leakage of gas (hereinafter referred to as 'Leakage etc.' in this standard) and the position of the boundary area where gas leaked (hereinafter referred to as 'earth' etc.) shall be displayed in yellow. However, this shall not apply to the earth of the receiving unit which has leaked, etc., and the earth which is not used together with the receiver.
    6. F. It shall be clearly identified that the ambient brightness is measured at 300 lux and lit up at 3 meters from the front.
  3. Electronic relay
    1. A. The contacts shall be of G S alloy or equivalent.
    2. B. It shall be attached so that it is not influenced by the load. At the same time, other than the contact seal type, a suitable dust cover shall be made so that dust or dirt does will not enter the contact or moving part.
    3. C. The maximum operating current at the maximum operating voltage shall not cause any significant change in its structure or function even if it flows through the resistive load.
    4. D. The use of contacts shall be as follows.
      • - Contacts for acoustics or earth display are not to be used for other purposes unless connected to an auxiliary relay.
      • - It shall not supply power directly to the internal load and external load at the same contact point at the same time.
  4. Indication The meter shall comply with KS C 1303 (Indicating meter) and the maximum scale of the meter shall be not less than 140 percent and not more than 200 percent of the rated voltage of the circuit used.
  5. Fuse
    1. A. KS mark approved or approved product shall be used for fuse KSC 8101 (Fuse for wiring fuse) or KSC 6039 (Fuse for electronic equipment).
    2. B. It shall be easy to inspect and replace.
    3. C. It shall be attached so as not to be easily shaken.
  6. Acoustic equipment (including earth detector installations in gas detectors)
    1. A. Sound shall be emitted at a voltage that is 80 percent of the operating voltage.
    2. B. Sound pressure at the operating voltage shall be not less than 90 decibels for the main acoustics at a distance of 1 meter from the center of the acoustics attached to the room in the room without odor (70 dB for stand-alone and separable). However, the sound pressure for failure indication shall be 60 decibels or more.
    3. C. If the test is carried out for 8 hours continuously at the operating voltage or at the rated voltage for 3 minutes and 20 seconds, while the operation is repeated for 6 minutes and 40 seconds with the total ring time as 20 hours, there shall not be any abnormality.
    4. D. The dielectric strength between live parts and non-live parts not higher than 500 volts (if the rated voltage is between 60 volts and 150 volts, the value is calculated as 1 thousand volts, and, if the rated voltage is higher than 150 volts, the value is calculated by multiplying 2 on 1 thousand volts) shall be able to withstand the test for one minute.
    5. E. The insulation resistance between live parts and non-live parts shall be not less than 20 mega-ohms, as measured by a 500 V dc insulation resistance meter.
  7. Transformer
    1. A. The transformer is to be of KS C 6308 (small power transformer for electronic equipment) or equivalent.
    2. B. The rated primary voltage shall be 300 volts or less, and the earth terminal shall be installed in the transformer enclosure for the separation type heavy industrial use.
    3. C. Capacity shall not exceed the maximum allowable continuous current.
  8. Spare power source
    1. A. It shall not be used as the main power source of the detector.
    2. B. Lead wires should be easily distinguishable by suitable color.

    7. G. (Deleted on December 11, 1997)
    8. H. Charge test of nickel type cadmium storage batteries and start of discharging are based on full discharge condition. In this case, the term, “complete discharge” means a discharging to be 0.6 volts or less per cell. The lead-acid battery shall be charged at 0.1 C and left at full charge for 1 hour and then discharged at 0.05 C to the charging end voltage.
    9. I. The discharge test of the cylindrical nickel-cadmium battery at room temperature was performed by charging the battery in a fully discharged state for 96 hours at a current of 1/20C at room temperature, discharging to the discharge end voltage at the room temperature discharge test of the maintenance free sealed battery, When discharging to C respectively, nickel cadmium battery should be discharged for more than 48 minutes and lead storage battery should be discharged for more than 45 minutes.
    10. J. The ambient temperature charging and discharging test of a cylindrical nickel cadmium battery was carried out under the conditions of 10 + -2 degrees Celsius and 50 + -2 degrees Celsius ambient temperature for a total discharge time of 96 hours and then 1C as a repetition of charge/discharge. At this time, the time to become the discharge ending voltage (rated capacity / 1.414 volts) shall be 20 minutes or more, and the appearance shall not swell or leak. The time applied for the ambient temperature charging and discharging test of the maintenance-free closed-type battery carried out under the conditions of 10 + -2 degrees Celsius and 50 + -2 degrees Celsius ambient temperature with C for 48 hours and then allowed to stand for 1 hour and discharge to 0.05 C, 95% of the rated capacity shall be at least 30 minutes.
    11. K. The safety device test of the spare power supply shall be carried out within 5 minutes when reverse charging at a current of 1/5 C to 1 C or less.
  9. Semiconductors shall be of a moisture-proof and corrosion-proof type and their capacity shall be sufficient to withstand the maximum operating voltage and maximum operating current.
  10. Wiring connecting the detachable receiving part and the detecting part (including repeater with repeater) shall have sufficient capacity to prevent signal transmission.
Article 9 (Apparatus)
  1. The accessories of the detector shall not have a detrimental effect on the function of the detector.
  2. The accessory device of the detector shall not be constructed to send an operation signal directly to the blocking part. However, separation type heavy industrial use is of an exception.
Article 10 (Test Conditions)

Unless otherwise specified, tests of detectors shall be conducted at room temperature of not less than 5 degrees Celsius and not more than 35 degrees Celsius, and relative humidity of not less than 45 percent and not more than 85 percent.

Article 11 (Receiving Indication)

The detector shall be capable of receiving indication in accordance with the following provisions.

  1. The detector shall automatically indicate the generation of gas by the main acoustic device, such as yellow leakage, when the gas leakage signal is received, and shall automatically indicate the boundary area where the gas leakage occurs by earth or the like. However, if it is a single-acting type or two-circuit type, the leakage lamp, earth, etc. may be omitted.
  2. The indication in subparagraph 1 shall be maintained in the displayed state unless it is manually returned. However, this may not be the case of single-type or separate-type business.
Article 12 (Maximum Load)

The detector shall be capable of withstanding the load of the full line or the load of the greater of the normal loads.

Article 13 (Ambient temperature test)

The receiving part of the detachable detector shall not cause malfunctions at ambient temperatures of minus 0 degrees Celsius to over 40 degrees Celsius.

Article 14 (Repeated Test)
Article 15 (Impulse Voltage Test)

Separate detectors shall not cause erroneous operation or malfunction if the following tests are carried out for 15 seconds under the condition of current.

  1. A test of applying a voltage of 500 volts with a pulse width of 1 microsecond and a repetition period of 100 hertz in a power supply with an internal resistance of 50 ohms
  2. In the case of a power supply with an internal resistance of 50 ohms, a voltage of 500 volts is applied with a pulse width of 0.1 microseconds and a repetition period of 100 hertz
Article 16 (Detector Concentration Test)
  1. The detector for flammable gas shall be stabilized by current for more than 1 hour, and if it is tested by the applicable test method in the following table for each gas to be detected, Should be alerted within 20 to 60 seconds of the operating test concentration). In case of the minor operating test concentration, the detector should not be generated within 5 minutes.

Article 17 (Long-Term Performance Test)

The detector shall not cause any abnormal function in case that the detector concentration test of Article 16 and the experiment of the arts of Article 19 shall be carried out for 60 days without going through current and current.

Article 18 (Supply Voltage Variation Test)

If the detector concentration test of Article 16 shall be carried out at a voltage of +10% of the power supply voltage to be used, no malfunction should occur in the function.

Article 19 (Miscellaneous Gas Tests)

The detector shall not operate if the following tests are carried out after passing the current for more than 1 hour and stabilized. However, detectors for incomplete combustion gas are limited to the tests of No. 1.

  1. The test shall be carried out for 5 minutes with the concentration of the ethyl alcohol gas being 0.1%
  2. The detector is a test for the type approval of the detector and the smoke concentration for the operation test of the two kinds of photoelectric detectors according to Article 19 - the Technical Standard
Article 20 (Vibration test)

Detectors (in the case of detachable type, detectors, the same applies in Sections 21 to 23, 25 and 26 below) with vibration of 1 thousand times per minute is continued for 4 minutes in a certain direction for 60 minutes. At this time, it shall not cause any abnormality in its structure and function.

Article 21 (Temperature Test)

A detector (in the case of detachable type) shall not cause malfunctions when the following tests are carried out. However, it may be strengthened beyond the temperature specified in the following and tested by the manufacturer at that temperature upon request.

  1. In an energized state, the test chamber shall be placed in a thermostat with an internal temperature of minus 20°C -2° C and 40 °C -2° C for 1 hour or more.
  2. The inhalation catheter was allowed to stand for 24 hours in a thermostat at a temperature of minus 20°C-2°C for 24 hours and again for 24 hours in a thermostat at a temperature of 40+-2°C as one cycle followed by proceeding to the next test of Article 16.
Article 22 (Humidity Test)

Detectors (in the case of detachable type, detectors, the same applies in Sections 21 to 23, 25 and 26 below) with vibration of 1 thousand times per minute is continued for 4 minutes in a certain direction for 60 minutes. At this time, it shall not cause any abnormality in its structure and function.

Article 23 (Explosion proof performance test)
  1. The detection element that detects gas leakage shall be used by closely contacting STS316 or a 100 mesh metal net of equivalent stainless steel wire with no widening or deformation of the mesh hole (gas passing area). In the case of the separable type, the detection element is to be protected by a strainer (sintered metal made of bronze casting).
  2. If the detector is turned on for 7 hours continuously with the test gas concentration A in the following table and then the current is passed for 1 hour with the test gas concentration set to B (stop the power supply twice for 1 second) (Excluding those suitable for explosion-proof construction under Article 4, paragraph 5), it shall comply with the following items. In this case, the test gas is isobutane gas in principle, and methane or hydrogen gas may be used as the test gas depending on the main component of the gas to be detected.
Article 24 (Volume Facilities)
  1. The detector volume of the detector shall be not less than 90 decibels (79 decibels for stand-alone type and separable type business) at a distance of 1 meter from the center of the sound system when measured in an anechoic room. However, the sound pressure for failure indication shall be not less than 60 decibels.
  2. When supplying power to the detector, it shall not emit an initial detector and thereafter shall not be heard a resonant sound at a distance of 1 meter from the center of the sound system.
Article 25 (Dust Test)

If the detector is subjected to the type approval and the detector concentration test of Article 16 after dust test in accordance with Article 31 of the Technical Standard (KOFEIS0301), the detector shall be in the state of current through the current.

Article 26 (Impact Test)

If a wooden plate with a thickness of 3 cm is placed on a concrete floor and an detector is placed in a current state by dropping at least two times on each of at least two sides at a height of 50 cm and then immediately subjected to the detector concentration test of Article 16, it shall not cause any abnormality in its structure or function. Article 27 (Resistance Test)
  1. The insulation resistance between the insulated live part of the detector and the enclosure shall be not less than 5 mega-ohms (20 mega-ohms between the ac input side and the enclosure) as measured by a 500 V dc insulation resistance meter. Provided that the number of circuits having 10 or more repeaters or 10 or more repeaters to be connected shall be 50 mega-ohms or more per line except for the AC input side and the enclosure.
  2. Insulation resistance between insulated lines shall be not less than 20 ohms measured by an insulation resistance meter of 500 V DC.
Article 28 (Insulation strength test)

  1. Tests to radiate radio frequency bands of 30 MHz, 50 MHz, 75 MHz, 144 MHz, 150 MHz, 460 MHz, 470 MHz, 850 MHz, 900 MHz and 1,000 MHz for 1 minute at electric field strength of 10 volts per meter
  2. Continuous emission of radio waves at a field strength of 10 volts per meter from 30 MHz to 1,000 MHz at a distance of 1 meter from the detector

This notice shall be executed from the date of notification. However, Article 30 (4) shall come into effect on April 1, 1993.

This standard shall be implemented from the date of 10 days after notification. However, matters related to gas leak detectors for incomplete combustion gas among Article 2, paragraph 2, Article 16, paragraph 2, and Article 19 shall take effect on March 1 after notification of this standard.
Article 2 (General Transitional Measures for Type Approval and Type Changing Approval)
At the time of enforcement of this standard, gas leakage detectors that have been formally approved by the previous regulation may be subject to a preliminary product inspection under the previous regulation for 3 months from the effective date of this standard. The gas leak detector to be received should comply with this standard.
