The purpose of this standard is to regulate the type approval and testing technical standards of gas leakage detectors pursuant to Article 50, paragraph 3, of the Fire Service Act and Article 36 of the Enforcement Decree of the same Act.
The definitions of terms used in this standard are as follows.
Detectors are classified into stand-alone type and separated type according to the structure. Separate type is classified into business type and industrial type depending on the application. In this case, the business purpose is for one circuit and the industrial purpose is for more than one circuit.
The general structure of detectors shall comply with the following subparagraphs.
The structure of the separate type receiver should comply with the following requirements. However, the provisions of No. 1, No. 5, No. 6, and No. 8 may not apply to business use.
The function of the separate type receiver shall be as follows. However, for business purposes, the provisions of No.1, No.2 and No.4 may not apply.
1) The structure of the inhalation probe shall comply with the followings.
2) The function of the inhalation catheter shall be as follows.
Apparatus for testing functions according to the provisions of Article 6 shall comply with the following subparagraphs
The parts of the detector shall be suitable for the structure and function of the following items or to be equivalent or superior in performance.
Unless otherwise specified, tests of detectors shall be conducted at room temperature of not less than 5 degrees Celsius and not more than 35 degrees Celsius, and relative humidity of not less than 45 percent and not more than 85 percent.
The detector shall be capable of receiving indication in accordance with the following provisions.
The detector shall be capable of withstanding the load of the full line or the load of the greater of the normal loads.
The receiving part of the detachable detector shall not cause malfunctions at ambient temperatures of minus 0 degrees Celsius to over 40 degrees Celsius.
Separate detectors shall not cause erroneous operation or malfunction if the following tests are carried out for 15 seconds under the condition of current.
Gas to be detected | Test gas | Operation concentration (percent) | Non-operating concentration (percent) |
---|---|---|---|
For liquid petroleum gas | Isobutene (same as follows) | 0.45120 | 0.05 |
For liquid natural gas | Hydrogen | 1.00 | 0.04 |
Methane | 1.25 | 0.05 | |
Isobutene | Isobutene | 0.45 | 0.05 |
Methane | Methane | 1.25 | 1.00 |
Hydrogen | Hydrogen | 0.05 | 0.04 |
The detector shall not cause any abnormal function in case that the detector concentration test of Article 16 and the experiment of the arts of Article 19 shall be carried out for 60 days without going through current and current.
If the detector concentration test of Article 16 shall be carried out at a voltage of +10% of the power supply voltage to be used, no malfunction should occur in the function.
The detector shall not operate if the following tests are carried out after passing the current for more than 1 hour and stabilized. However, detectors for incomplete combustion gas are limited to the tests of No. 1.
Detectors (in the case of detachable type, detectors, the same applies in Sections 21 to 23, 25 and 26 below) with vibration of 1 thousand times per minute is continued for 4 minutes in a certain direction for 60 minutes. At this time, it shall not cause any abnormality in its structure and function.
A detector (in the case of detachable type) shall not cause malfunctions when the following tests are carried out. However, it may be strengthened beyond the temperature specified in the following and tested by the manufacturer at that temperature upon request.
If the detector is subjected to the type approval and the detector concentration test of Article 16 after dust test in accordance with Article 31 of the Technical Standard (KOFEIS0301), the detector shall be in the state of current through the current.
If a wooden plate with a thickness of 3 cm is placed on a concrete floor and an detector is placed in a current state by dropping at least two times on each of at least two sides at a height of 50 cm and then immediately subjected to the detector concentration test of Article 16, it shall not cause any abnormality in its structure or function. However, this is not the case in the case of the inhalation detection part.
The insulation strength of the test part under the provisions of Article 27 shall be such that the effective voltage of 500 volts close to a sinusoidal frequency of 60 Hertz (rated voltage exceeding 60 volts but not exceeding 150 volts shall not exceed 1 volt and rated voltage exceeding 150 volts shall be rated Voltage multiplied by 2 plus one) shall be able to withstand the test for one minute.
For the water-proof type, there shall not be any water inside or malfunction if providing pure and clean water for more than an hour in the angle of 45±2 degree on front-top area in the ratio of 3ML in every minute while being attached as available conditions.
The detector shall not cause fault detector, gas leakage false detector, and other abnormalities during and after the electromagnetic interference test specified in each of the following items while the power is turned on.
1) In the separate type, the following items should be marked so that they cannot be easily erased in easy-to-see areas.
2) In the single type, the items specified in A, F, or H in the item 1, paragraph 1, or A or C in the item 2, or matters specified in the item 3 or 7 shall be marked not to be easily erased.
3) The detector shall be equipped with the following items.
4) In the front of the gas leak detector, there shall be indicated the name of "gas leakage detector" and the name of the gas to be detected, and the quality, warranty, warranty, A/S Method, self-inspection certificate, etc.) that are not to be easily erased.
The details necessary for the implementation of this standard shall be determined by the Minister of Government Administration and Home Affairs.
Test gas | A(percent) | B(percent) |
---|---|---|
Methane | 2.5 | 6.5 ~ 7.5 |
Hydrogen | 2.0 | 19 ~ 23 |
Isobutane | 0.9 | 2.5 ~ 3.3 |
This notice shall be executed from the date of notification. However, Article 30 (4) shall come into effect on April 1, 1993.
